Exactly 6 months ago, I left my beloved Austria and hopped on a plane to Bangkok.
Doubt started to creep in a few days before I left. “What am I doing in Asia, alone? Why did I only buy a one-way-ticket? I’ve never been away from home longer than two weeks - on a package vacation.”
Of course everything turned out fine. Not only that, the last six months have been the best of my life.
The last six months have been the best of my life.
My plane-ticket purchase was the single best decision I ever made.
Are you also dreaming of exploring exotic places or breaking free? I encourage you to take a risk and start living the life you truly want. It can be scary sometimes, but it’s so worth it.
What follows are some of the best photos from the last six months. I hope they inspire you.
Amazing Landscapes

Lonely Beach, Similan Islands, Thailand

Sunset, Ko Phi Phi, Thailand

Twilight, Similan Islands, Thailand

Tropical Island, Perhentian Islands, Malaysia

Small Boat, Perhentian Islands, Malaysia

Petronas Towers, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Ricefield, Palawan, Philippines

Elephant Island, Palawan, Philippines

Rice Terraces, Banaue, Philippines

Homer Simpson Island, El Nido, Philippines
Badass things I’ve done

I visited awesome bars

went on a roadtrip

learned how to ride a motorbike

took a bath under a waterfall

went nightswimming

saw monkeys in the wild

tamed a wild bird

explored caves

climbed steep tracks

went diving with a whale-shark

dove Japanese WWII-wrecks (there’s still a bomb left inside one of the wrecks)
Amazing people I’ve met
What would be travelling without the people you meet? The following pictures include only a fraction of all the incredible people I’ve met.

I can only repeat myself. Living the life you want can be scary sometimes, but it’s so worth it. Life is short and you never know, it could actually be over tomorrow. Don’t worry about other’s opinions and start taking action today.

Retweeted David. Some excellent pictures. Can not believe the clear color of the water in the fourth picture. I don’t want to go swimming in the beach near me because you will normally find a couple of fag ends and empty beer cans floating by! LOL
Thanks for your comment, Natalie. The Perhentian Islands are a really awesome place.
There are also many polluted Beaches in Asia, unfortunately.
