My goal is to engage readers a bit more. I’ll start things off with a poll.
Which country in this region you are most interested in. My personal choice is Thailand: beautiful beaches, awesome food, places to party as well as quite, not overly touristic areas. Runner up is Laos. It is still rural and mysterious.
What’s your opinion? Why?
Update: The poll has ended. Laos was the winner.
(The poll may not display in RSS readers or your email-inbox)

Thailand is easy to travel in, whether you want secluded islands or fancy movie theatres it has it all! Love it
Easy choice for me. Cambodia by a country mile.
The temples of Angkor were the catalyst for the trip I’m getting ready for. And although that trip has now grown to encompass most of South East Asia, it’s still the majesty of the Bayon and Tha Phrohm that most securely captures my imagination.
Laos comes a close second though. If only because I’m holding on to the belief that’s it’s still mostly un-developed.
I am going to say Laos because I know absolutely nothing about that country. Sometimes I like the thought of traveling to a destination blindly without a clue of what to expect.
Thanks guys. I think it’s really hard to say because everything there seems so interesting. It’s so completely different compared to Europe or the USA.
