Seven and a half days until departure, so I decided it’s time to plan a rough route for my journey.

Generally, my goal is to travel very spontaneously. But I think it is a good idea to think of a few countries and places I want to visit. There are also certain events on certain dates that I want to attend. Plus, I have to show a onward or return ticket on check-in in Munich or I won’t be allowed to board the plane.

  • My journey starts on April 10th at Munich airport. I have a one-way ticket to Bangkok where I will arrive on April 11th around 7 in the morning.
  • From Bangkok, I’ll fly to Phuket to go on a 4 day diving safari.
  • I’ll be island-hopping for the next couple of weeks. Destinations will include Phi Phi Islands, Ko Tao & Ko Phangan and probably Railay Beach.
  • Afterwards I’ll be heading north, exploring Bangkok, Kanchanaburi (famous Tiger Temple + other sights) and visit Yasothon for Rocket Festival.
  • Maybe I’ll visit Chiang Mai.
  • After 30-50 days in Thailand I’ll fly from Bangkok to Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia

Have you ever been to Thailand? Did you like it? Any  places that I have to visit?

Update: Nothing happens as planned while travelling. After island-hopping in the south I left for Malaysia.
